Northern Lights, the Bedtime Classic, in Fort Worth at Buds2Go

Northern Lights is on the shelf at Buds2Go, our Fort Worth dispensary with three shops and no queue. A landrace classic doing exactly what it's done since the eighties. Earthy, piney, resinous, heavy enough that we say it plainly: this is a bedtime jar, not an afternoon one. All three shops stock it.

Quick read

  • Type: Indica
  • Cross: Afghani x Thai landrace
  • Smells like: sweet earth and pine resin
  • Feels like: Heavy end-of-day flower.
  • Best for: bedtime, and we mean that literally
  • Tested: third party, every batch, COA on request

In-store only, no online ordering. 21+ with valid ID.

Which shop has it

All three shops stock it. Stock moves between the three, so if the one you're at is out, ask — it may be sitting twenty minutes away.

Why we carry it

Somebody asks for Northern Lights every single day. It's the oldest name we carry and still the first thing people reach for when they want the night finished. We've never seriously considered dropping it and probably never will.

How we get it

Northern Lights is a standing weekly order. It's been on our shelf since day one and the volume barely changes month to month.

Small-batch legal hemp farms, shipped overnight, landing weekly across all three shops.

Two weeks is the longest anything sits out. Three locations means we move enough volume that most jars never get near that ceiling, which is honestly the biggest single advantage of having more than one shop.

If a jar in front of you looks like it's been there a while, say so. We'd rather swap it out for you than leave it sitting there.

Third-party tested, every batch, COA whenever you want it.

Goes with

Tell a budtender and they'll pull it together so you're in and out.

  • Pre-Rolls — Pre-rolls, if you'd rather not roll
  • Accessories — Papers, cones and trays
  • Edibles — Edibles, if you want the same evening without smoking
  • The Flyte Co. — pre-rolls, if you'd rather not roll

Questions we get asked

One of the oldest named strains still widely sold — Afghani crossed with a Thai landrace, and it's been in circulation since the eighties.

Yes. We tell people plainly it's a bedtime jar rather than an afternoon one, and that's not us being cautious.

It's a lot for a first one. Ice Cream Cake off the same shelf is heavy too but comes on gentler if you're working up.

It's a landrace-derived strain rather than a modern dessert cross. Sweet earth and pine resin is what that family does — it predates the candy-nose trend entirely.
